Marathi Medium, Co-education School
The School is opened by the Founder is realization of the NES mission to extend the Blessing of education to the physically deprived sector which prompted NGOs like Rotary Club to help the Founder at its initial stage. The school embraced education from KG to SSC level, each having one division.
The school is provided with the latest technologies like hearing aids speech room, computer education, sports and gymnasium facilities etc. Along with education, the students are also imparted vocational training like sewing, candle making, plumbing, painting, handicraft etc to help them establish professionally on their own after qualifying in SSC. An important feature of the school is, day meal is served to all the students with a wholesome diet.
SVB's U.M Thevar High School
The co-educational school founded by Dr.R.Varadarajan and managed by Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan had its humble beginning in the year 1988. Students from all sections of the society and religion are on its roll. A recognized English Medium school which prepares the students for S.S.C. examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education aims to impart sound and value based education to the younger generation as to inculcate a high sense of 1 enlightened citizenship, discipline, character, team spirit, dedication to duties and regard for patriotic values.
The school profoundly shapes its students for a successful future through an exposure to Computer Science, Arts, Craft, Work Experience, Physical Education, Social Services, Health education, Photography, First Aid and Fine Arts . Programmes for coaching students for various competitive examinations like Scholarship examination, Govt. Drawing Grade exams, RashtraBhasha examination have been taken up regularly. During the last 18 years the strength of the complex has increased rapidly from seven to well over a few thousands.
With the opening of a Jr. College, Degree College and Vocational Institute for which additional land has been procured adjacent to the existing school premises, the management wishes to have a full fledged Educational Complex at Dharavi.
Teaching Community
We had in the month of April, 2021, donated mobile phones to deserving students who had no access to them due to financial constraints in their respective families. This was done to facilitate their online learning during the pandemic and the resultant lockdown to see to it that their academic journey and learning continue without interruption.
On 26th May, 2021, we made an FD for a fixed amount which will be given as a scholarship to one of the deserving students from NES Deaf School which is managed by NES-SVB Group.
