Mrs Lyn Eames, UK
As the school year 2017 – 18 commences at NESISM, let us take a look at the achievements to date. Its own prestigious school building with a playground and more than enough world-class infrastructure, with a swimming pool for the younger ones, are profusely benefiting the students.
However, above all these expansion and development, the key ethos within the school - a strong community with all good values form the nucleus of its leading soul makes NESISM different from others, where all students are nurtured, transformed and empowered to be worthy of all world challenges.
This inner spirit continues to be ordained by Dr R Varadarajan, the Founder-Principal, who has always placed the students at the heart of everything. The school management and teachers are blended by him to be dedicated and committed. However, it is only with involvement of parents and teachers, a common value is created to share and that is the cause of success of the institution, as felt by Dr R Varadarajan.
With everyone working towards this common goal, it creates a sense of belongingness to all. All stake holders are committed to ensure that students are empowered, with knowledge and skills to become responsible international citizens, able to tackle future challenges.
Furthermore, the students of NESISM have ever developed an open-minded approach blended with compassion and empathy which form the crux of the CAS theme of its IB Education.
NESISM provides the tools to lead a successful life and to make a difference in the world and that is why its students are consecutively exacting top ranks in the country as also in the world.
I am happy that my school has become a world level school having a composite stream from PYP to IBDP level and has also an almost parallel curriculum of Cambridge University (CIE) from Checkpoint to A Level courses.
It is highly encouraging that many of our NESISM students have participated in national and global events, like ‘NES Space Exploration’, ‘NES National Science Festival’, ‘NES World Peace Congress in India and also the MUN Assembly in the United Nations, the NASA training in the USA or the World Earth Science Olympiad to speak of abroad.
My very best wishes to all for the ensuing school year 2017-18.
